To keep our readers up to date on the latest news, we’ve rounded up this weeks’ top gaming articles (listed below), for your viewing pleasure. These include the latest releases, downloadable content on existing games and recent developments on long awaited titles.
1. Darksiders 3
Starting a number, probably the most unexpected piece of news this week is the announcement of Darksiders 3. Amazon accidentally leaked the details for Darksiders 3 amidst the confusion at IGN. Alanah Pearce posted on her Instagram that she was due to announce the release of Darksiders 3 being a long time fan and that IGN will have coverage of the game all month.
Following the confusion, THQ Nordic have announced the release officially along with a trailer for the game:
2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild DLC
The first DLC pack from the season pass for Breath of The Wild has been announced and it includes new costumes and the Travel Medallion. Nintendo’s first dive into the world of downloadable content seems to have hit the sweet spot with most fans, showcasing Trial of The Sword, Hard Mode, Hero’s Path Mode and more. One of the most interesting additions is the Hero’s Path Mode, which details where you have been in the last 200 hours of gameplay on the Sheikah Slate map.
Whilst some people are skeptical about a DLC pack with no new story content, it has been well known that new story content will come with the second DLC pack in the season pass later this year. To find out about all the new content included in this first DLC pack, click here.
3. Code Vein
An exciting new trailer for Bandai Namco’s new game for 2018 ‘Code Vein’ has been released and shows off some impressive gameplay footage in a post-apocalyptic world, mixing the anime style of Persona 5 with the dark gritty enemy designs of the Dark Souls series.

4. NieR: Automata DLC
This one is a mouthful, NieR: Automata’s 3C3C1D119440927 DLC is out this week, which adds new colosseums to challenge, new sub-quests, new costumes for 2B and much more.
See the DLC trailer below:
5. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
It looks like fans won’t see a preview of the third Tomb Raider reboot instalment at the upcoming E3 event next month. Fan site Turning Point, posted a snippet (on their Facebook page) from a conversation they had with the franchise Senior Community Manager Meagan Marie. The snippet indicates that although we won’t see any footage at the event, we should expect to here significant developments from the studio later this year.
This is a curious move for the studio, as the prior instalments have made notable appearances at E3 events, both titles presenting trailers of the upcoming games. We’ll do our best to keep you up to date about how things proceed, so stay tuned to JenChau for the latest news.
6. Horizon: Zero Dawn v1.20
Guerrilla Games has announced a new update for their most recent title ‘Horizon: Zero Dawn’, regarding several new features, as well as significant improvements to the in-game photo mode.
The patch (version 1.20) is due to launch at some point next week; here are some of the changed that will be put into effect:

7. Hideo Kojima
In case you missed Hideo Kojima’s blushing over De Niro last weekend, don’t worry, we’ve bookmarked the tweet. Kojima had the time of his life last weekend attending the Tribeca Games Festival, meeting one of his long time heros, Robert De Niro.
He even has proof:
Last but by no means least, Prey is out today!
Have you got your copy? We’re excited to start using that mimic ability.
